

Carol Lee Diehl was born on May 26, 1939 in Plainfield, New Jersey to Leitha (Stephens) and Frank Weigmann. She aspired to be a nurse and studied nursing at Middlesex County Community College in Edison, New Jersey. From there she graduated with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Upon taking the National Council Licensure Examination to become a Registered Nurse, Carol passed with such high marks that when worked in Arizona and California both the states accepted her license without further individual state testing.
Carol met Robert Diehl and the two married in 1958. Together they raised three daughters: Donna, Diana and Debbie. She doted on many family pets including her two beloved dogs Mitzi and Spike. Carol was a good Christian woman who was Patriotic and taught her children right from wrong both by instruction and by example.
One of her favorite past times was traveling. She enjoyed being out in nature camping and jet setting internationally. Carol’s international travels took her to destinations including Jerusalem, Africa, and Mexico. In many ways, Carol will forever be remembered for her independent, responsible, considerate and caring spirit.
She is survived by Daughter Donna Silva; Grandchildren: Anthony Silva, Jessica and grandson-in-law Steve Bryant, Michael “Rocky” Silva, and Amy Silva and her Husband Charles Mirador; Great-grandchildren: Raymond Bryant, Malia Mirador, and Max Mirador. Daughter Diana Mancia and son-in-law Carlos E. Mancia; Grandchildren: Carlos M. Mancia and David Mancia. Daughter Debbie Diehl and son-in-law Franck Florentin.
She is preceded in death by her Grandmother Leitha Weigmann; Mother Leitha Mauda Weigman; Sister Joan Esler and brother-in-law Joseph Esler; and Nephew William Esler.
A funeral service for Carol will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Dimond & Shannon Mortuary, 10630 Chapman Ave, Garden Grove, CA 92840. Carol will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Cathedral Memorial Gardens in Garden Grove, CA in the section "Path of Love".
