Charles Clair Trout

Charles C. Trout has a M.B.A. and a Doctor of Ministry degree. After retiring from the United States Army he served five years in the California State Military Reserve, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. From 2000 until 2005 he served as the Base Chaplain at the Joint Forces Training Base in Los Alamitos, California.

For eight years Chuck was Chaplain for the Society of the Third Infantry Division, the outfit he served with during the Korean War as an Infantry Platoon Sergeant. He was awarded two Bronze Stars with “V” device for valor. After the war, Chuck assisted in the building of an orphanage for Korean children. Later he led a team of advisers to Taiwan to assist the Chinese Nationalists with radar installations. In 2002, Chuck was inducted into the Infantry Officer’s Hall of Fame at Fort Benning, Georgia.

In civilian life Chuck was Vice President of Mattel, Mitsubishi Electric and Alpine of America Corporation. He is founder of Service Concepts International, a corporation that provides marketing and after sales support to electronic and technical corporations. In the capacity as a consultant, he was contracted by Wal*Mart, Admiral, Sega of America, Westinghouse, K-Mart and the Charles Schwab Corporation.

Chuck served as a Pastor at the Crystal Cathedral where he established a Military

Veteran’s Group and a course, entitled “The Unwelcome Journey” for those who lost their spouse through death. Chuck served on the Board of The Hour Of Power for Crystal Chrystal Ministries and Vice President of the Veteran's Resource Center of Orange County.

He serves as Professor of Biblical Studies and President of the Alumni at the California Graduate School of Theology, Chaplain and Trustee for the Association of the 15th Infantry Regiment, Chaplain for Outpost Harry Surveyors Association and a board member of the Professional Advisory Group of the V.A. Hospital in Long Beach.

He is President and CEO of Echo Entertainment, a non-profit corporation, that performs musicals to raise money for veterans and their families. Until recently, he served as Vice-Principal and Chairman of the board for Trinity Christian School in Garden Grove, California.

Chuck and a business associate founded Echo Hope Now, and established a free web site for those seeking hope. www.echohopenow.org

Private services will be held to honor Chuck. He will be laid to rest at Cathedral Memorial Gardens, Garden Grove, CA.
