Greg Parrish was an amazing man ! I’m glad he was a part of my life for the time that I’ve gotten to known him , Greg’s been apart of the family wayyyy before I was born and remained close till the end. Him and my grandfather were best friends and when my grandfather was on his death bed Greg had broke the news to me that I’d be losing him and he gave me a hug and cried with me and I was surprised because I’ve NEVER seen Greg cry , as a little girl he knew how to cheer me up he told me jokes and did silly faces even tried popping a wheelie on his bike one time (he failed😂) , Greg was the cool biker old man that we loved tremendously , I enjoyed hearing his stories and memories that he shared , I will forever love and remember him , a legend he was ❤️ rest in paradise !

Greg and I were enrolled at Washington High in the Autumn of 1965. This was about a month after the Watts riots. We decided to hold our own Marine Biology classes by the Hermosa Biltmore, so we cruised there regularly in his Bitchen 'Nova . He later let me borrow his cruiser to take my girlfriend to the drive-in.
I think it was 2016 when Greg and Wendy came with Tom and Yollie at the organization of Meredith. It was great to greet them at the airport and later go for hiking, swimming and biking adventures.
He was a cool guy with a great heart and soul. 
Rest in Peace Brother Greg

Greg was the quintessential definition of a badass. We first originally met when I was on his little league team at NEGGLL. With his huge beard and tank tops he used to rock, he was a bit intimidating for a young kid. But that feeling very quickly dissipated as we got to know him. He had a genuinely great personality and was loved by everyone. We didn’t win much games, however,  everyone wanted to play for him. He was fun. He made the game fun and he didn’t take it to serious. Rides to practice in his Skylark were as memorable as they get, he’d be talkin shit and we would pack more then legally allowed into the back of his Buick. We would all pile out at Pioneer Park and play ball. Most of my greatest childhood memories included this same group with Greg and my Pops at the helm. 
          Greg was my Dads best friend and a second father to many of us neighborhood kids. He became a great  friend to us as well as we got older. He has bailed me out of a few different clutch situations. He took care of us like his own. I remember getting my Dads truck towed, I was 17, broke as hell and had to get it out before my dad had work the next morning. I called Greg, told him the story and without hesitation gave me the money to bail out the Chevy. Greg NEVER told my dad what happened. I later tried to pay him back but he wouldn’t take my money. He just called me an idiot and told me to use my brain next time lol. Greg was the best! 
            Kyle, Wes, Kim and Greg have always been a huge part of our lives and will always be a huge part. Losing 50% of them has been devastating this last year.  I am broken hearted but my hope is they are all back together shooting pool and passin the pigskin around. 
RIP my friend! 

You my Friend and Brother well forever be in my heart .....at 16 years old you were my protector and best friend..:you loved me for who I was and you made sure Herman aka Steve Hoyt and I ended up together.  You protected me when I was a wild child and insisted I was going to San Francisco  to see the Rolling  Stones with you, Pete  Mitz and Michael Ramos and you still protected me and made sure no one bothered me...I have never forgotten you Greg....and wish we could have met up one last time ....rest in peace my friend and I well forever love you..thank you so much for being you...RIP my brother and friend.

 

I’ve known Greg for 26years, he and my father were great friends... buddies, coworkers and co-captains. he was like a father, coaching me in little league, driving us around in his 63skylark. He was rough around the edges, brutally honest to me, very respectful and had a great hand shake. Seeing him 2days before he passed; he looked great. Glad I had the opportunity to tell him “love you Greg” his boys (rip kyle) and Wesly are and forever will be brothers to me. his grandchildren are as amazing as the name Parrish will live in them. They will do great things because the struggles they’ve endured. It’s a truly sad loss. I wanna acknowledge Kim Parrish for her strength, courage and badassery... Without her the castle would crumble. the Parrish family will always be in my heart with high regards. #teamParrish 

He was like a big brother to me....always looking out for me and shared his big heart in conversation, as well as letters that I will treasure always.  Rest in peace my dear, dear friend.

Thoughts and prayers to his family & friends....he was loved well by many and will be missed. 💔

I remember all the great times we had playing football @ El Camino college practice field.  Bedouins, Regents, Barons.   Also the many parties we went too.  You'll be missed.   RIP{ my Friend.    

Sleep well. Rest your weary soul honey.  No more pain and no more sadness.  

We laughed at the beach and you said my mom's lamp looked like a bird bath.
