For most of her young life, she lived in California, where she raised five children. She met her second husband, Eugene Wyrick in Lemoore. They wed Dec. 30, 1974, and were married for 44 years. Upon Eugene’s retirement from the Navy, they moved to Gastonia, NC, near his hometown of Crouse.
Betty retired from Wix as a Quality Control inspector in 1994. She worked hard and never had idle hands. She loved to cook, bake, crochet and tend to her gardens. She always had beautiful flowers and a thriving vegetable garden. She had an unwavering love for all her family and a strong faith in God.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Drucilla Adams, husband Eugene Wyrick, brothers Leo, Frank, Fred and Lehman Adams, sister Shirley Rhyne, children Karen and Richard Fish, stepson Keith Wyrick and grandsons Tyler Gaddis and Ricky Fish.
She will be loved and remembered by her daughters Nance Robinson, Natalie Bissonette (Tony) and Julie Gaddis, sister Carol Baxter (David), stepdaughters Sherri Cline and Brandi Harvey (Danny), seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren. She is survived by several other family members and friends who will miss her.
There will be a memorial service and a celebration of life, attended by family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation and St. Jude.
