Clyde retired from Sunshine Uniform at age 52 and began Stroupe Utility Buildings where he utilized his carpentry skills. He enjoyed gardening where he grew and sold plants to the community, was an avid golfer, and cherished spending time with his grandchildren and family. Clyde was a wonderful, kind-hearted gentleman, who never met a stranger.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in passing by his wife, Helen Stroupe and multiple siblings.
He is survived by his son, Rick Stroupe and wife Christal; daughter, Journee Little and husband Steve; grandchildren, Candice Stroupe, Ashlyn Richardson, Jessica Little and wife April; great grandchild, Nevaeh Lane; his sweetheart, Jean Brannon; Jean's children, James Dellinger and wife Shondi, Martha Michael and husband John, Pam Gladden and husband Fred and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A visitation for Clyde will be held Saturday, June 18, 2022 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park. Following the visitation will be a committal service at 11:30 am at Gaston Memorial Park Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to American Heart Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
