Etta Jane Savage

Jane Carswell Savage, age 70, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 25, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 26, 1945 in Gaston County to the late Furman and Jenny Carswell.

Jane will always be remembered by her family as a woman of God who loved the Lord and was a true prayer warrior. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and wonderful Maw Maw, beautiful inside and out, funny, and always put others before herself. She loved to shop and most importantly she adored her children and grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 53 years, Sonny Savage of Bessemer City, daughter Rebecca Savage of Florida, son, Jonathan Savage and wife Amy of Lincolnton, daughter, Sarah Savage Tucker and husband Joseph of Gastonia; 4 grandchildren, Victoria and Isabella Savage and Andrew and Faith Tucker.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Paul Gabriel Savage.

A celebration of her life will be held at 4:00 PM, Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Yorkwood Church of God located at 405 Stagecoach Road, Gastonia, NC 28052. Pastor Bobby Smith and Pastor Kevin Jones will officiate. Interment will be held on Monday, February 29, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Gaston Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM-3:45 PM prior to the service at the church.
