My dear sweet "Big Sister"  I already miss you so much.  You were my "Rock" that help to keep me grounded.  I could always depend upon you and always knew you were there for me.  I had to disappoint the teachers when I did not follow in your path of an obedient, studious perfect student.  Instead I was interested in everyone and what everyone else was doing.  Mom said when I was in High School I could come home and tell her what everyone in the school that happened to come my way what they were wearing and how they had their hair styled but made a C- in Algebra.  You always earned the approval of all your teachers and earned the respect and loyality of many friends.  Where I was a risk taker by nature you never wavered from the "Book". (God's book and all rules and regulations.)  You would go out of your way to make sure you knew the rules so that they would be followed by you.  Boy, what memories!  Every word that has been spoken about you in your passing has been very true.  Just 2 years ago when we bid our Mother goodby we had no idea your reunion would be so soon. Sandra and Evelyn's family,

I remember Evelyn when she and Sandra came with Aunt Ruby to visit Aunt Ruby's sisters and their families in Tennessee. They would stay with us on the farm and I was always so excited when they would come. I was in awe at their pretty clothes and nice things. They were both so nice to all of us. I again saw Evelyn while she was teaching in Florida. She was physically beautiful and always so nice to me. 

Sandra, I know you will miss your sister. Please stay in touch with us. A lot of us are on FB but not all. Sorry for your great loss.

Sandra, I was so sorry for your loss. Evelyn was wonderful to my mother, Virginia, who was her Aunt. She always stopped to visit her when she went on trips to Pigeon Forge. She sent my mother cards, which my mom still cherishes.

You Were A Wonderful Lady Evelyn...Always Loved You

I want to send condolences to my loving aunt Evelyn and her family.  I will miss her, but will keep her in my heart and prayers.

My name is Evelyn (Snutch) Paugh, of Leesburg, Florida. 

I worked with Evelyn Carver at Bank of America in Charlotte, N. C. for several years.  Evelyn and I became very good friends and we went out to lunch regularly at work and I always enjoyed being in her company so very much.  

We have continued our friendship through the years by writing letters, cards & by telephone.  I have missed her so much since we moved to Florida.  

She called me a couple of weeks ago and left a message on my "voice mail" (as I was not at home at the time because my husband and I were visiting my oldest sister, Ruby, in Rock Hill, S.C.) for a few days.  Ruby has been in and out of the hospital a lot lately and her health is critical.  I was so sorry that I did not get to talk to Evelyn when she called me at home in Florida. 

When I got home, my son, Jeffrey, told me she had called and left her phone number and asked me to call her.  When I did get home and called her number, her granddaughter spoke to me &  told that she had just passed away a couple of days earlier.  I am so very sorry that I wasn't at home and didn't get to speak to Evelyn that day when she called. 
I cried, and cried all evening after finding out she had just passed away and I was so shocked to learn of her passing.  

She was my dear friend, and she has been on my mind since I got the news of her death.  "God be with you my dear friend, Evelyn, - - and I will see you one day in Heaven, and we'll have that conversation."  What a glorious day that will be.

I would like to send condolences to the family of Evelyn Carver.  I always enjoyed talking with her on the phone.  I was so happy when she and Sandy visited me on a trip around year of 2000. Paul and I remember Evelyn as a beautiful woman of God with a kind and sweet personality. She had a brilliant mind and developed it to obtain two degrees. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and served in the church as a leader of youth.
