

Glenda was born on August 1, 1941, to the late Robert Fulton Jernigan and the late Jean Bernice Norman. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Keith Dellinger, and brothers, Frank Jernigan, Ernest Jernigan, and Michael Jernigan.
A devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and steadfast friend, Glenda’s life was a shining example of compassion, strength, and selfless service.
As a constant caregiver, Glenda dedicated her days to nurturing and guiding her children and grandchildren, whose lives were forever shaped by her unwavering support and boundless love. Her warm smile, generous spirit, and quiet wisdom were gifts to all who knew her.
A proud and long-time member of Flint Groves Baptist Church, Glenda’s faith was a cornerstone of her life. She found deep joy and community through her fellowship there, always walking in kindness and grace.
Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, faith, and family lives on in all the hearts she touched.
Survivors include her children, Gwen Bush (JD) and Sid Dellinger; grandchildren, Jessica Isaacs (Ben), Lauren Thomas (Cody), Brice Dellinger (Ayla), William Dagenhart (Laken), 7 great grandchildren; brother, Robert Jernigan; brother-in-law, Joe Dellinger (Judy); nephew, Mark Dellinger; sister-in-law, Lynn Dellinger; and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Barker Jernigan.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Gaston Memorial Park, 1200 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054. Following the graveside, the family will be receiving guests at Glenda’s home.
