Honest, trustworthy and old fashioned are the best character traits to describe Herman “Frosty” Phillips, 86 who passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2017 after a long illness. He was born July 17, 1930 in Gaston County to the late Herman and Eva (Horton) Phillips. Frosty was a devoted family man who loved his family and loved life. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed listening to blue grass and country music. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish his memory is his son, Tim Phillips and wife, Pam of Gastonia, NC; sister, Frankie Hartsell of Winston Salem, NC; six grandchildren, Duon Moore, Kristi Garris, Coty Phillips, Ava Howard, Stevie Phillips and Loulou Rowland; and the love of his life, Iris Price.
Frosty was preceded in death by his daughter, Pam Burns and sister, Edith Johnson.
A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 26, 2017 at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park. Interment will follow in Gaston Memorial Park.
