

James “Richard, Big Daddy “Hawkins was taken away from us at the early age of 49 on Wednesday June 10, 2015 at his residence. A man who was loved dearly and reciprocated those caring feelings and love to others. A man who enjoyed life, family,
friends, fishing, cars along with hundreds of friends on Facebook and was a Dallas Cowboy fanatic. Richard was born on September 17, 1965 to the late James Arnold Hawkins and Linda Thompson Hawkins Manning. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his son Joshua Hawkins.
Those left behind to cherish Richard’s memories are his mother Linda Manning; son, Trevor Hawkins and wife Sara Hawkins; daughter, Christan Hawkins; and grandson, Colton McNabb; former wife: Stephanie Hawkins. A brother from another mother: Charlie Fox and wife Karla. Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Celebrating the life and memories of Mr. Hawkins will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Carothers Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Larry McAllister to speak words of comfort to his family and friends. Active pallbearers will be family and friends.
Richard’s family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Saturday June 13, 2015 at Carothers Funeral Home.
A committal service and procession will follow at Gaston Memorial Park where James “Richard “Hawkins will be laid to rest
