Joan M. (Harris) Thompson

Joan held a thirst for life like few others and was never satisfied with sitting on the sidelines. She enjoyed dancing, traveling, and spending time with her family as well as church family. She will be remembered by her loved ones as a generous and vivacious woman who never let her health struggles stop her from enjoying life.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by her husband, Charles "Ted" Thompson; son, Doug Lang; brothers, Roy Harris, Jack Harris, Claude Harris, RL Harris and George Harris; and sisters, Mary Huffstetler, Irene Ward and Peggy Bankhead.

Joan is survived by her children, Tony Lang and wife Junie, Jackie Lang and Cindy Phipps; stepchildren, Charles Thompson Jr., Kim Thompson, and Eva Thompson Presley; grandchildren, Kris Lang, Jessica Bell and husband Scott, Lauren Cobb and Amanda Nolan; and six great grandchildren.

A visitation for Joan will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Cramerton, 235 Eighth Avenue, Cramerton, North Carolina 28032, followed by a funeral service beginning at 3:00 pm.
