Linda McCulloh Bailey, 71, of Belmont, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 7, 2021 of Crohn’s disease complications with her daughter by her side. She fought a brave battle for over 15 years with this debilitating condition.
The funeral service will be held at Carothers Funeral Home in Gastonia, North Carolina on Saturday, January 16th at 1 pm. Pastor Ray Hardee of The Pointe Church will be officiating. A service will be held with a dessert reception to follow at the funeral home.
Linda was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on September 3, 1949. She was the seventh child of Bessie Riley McCulloh and Rufus McCulloh. She was a graduate of Harding High School. She married Danny Lee Bailey and they were married for 30 years. Linda was mostly a homemaker but she did a few light office work jobs. She was mostly proud to be a mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter Shannon Bailey Garcia, son in law Derek Adam Garcia and her only grandchild, Piper Valentina Garcia. Also, her sister Betty Padgett and brother James McCulloh. She would also like a special mention to her nephews Craig Crisco, Joshua Ray and Eric Ray and her beloved doggies Tiger and Sweetie.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sisters Shirley Crisco and Ruth Purser and brothers Carl McCulloh and Glenn McCulloh.
Her family would like to thank everyone that was involved in her healthcare and well being along her journey.
