Ruth Fredell Medford Ward, age 60, of Grace Health Care, Asheville and formerly of Gastonia, died April 4, 2011 at Mission Hospital, Asheville. Mrs. Ward was born in Gaston County and was the daughter of the late Josephine Fredell Tyner Garner and was the widow of Howard Leland Medford and Charlie Ward.
Graveside services will be 11:00 A. M. Wednesday in the Garden of Time II Section of Gaston Memorial Park with Rev. Ron Watts officiating.
The family will receive friends after the Graveside Service at Gaston Memorial Park.
