With profound sadness and heartfelt love, we honor and remember the life of Sharon Beamon, a woman whose warmth, strength, and generosity touched countless hearts. Sharon passed peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, accomplishment, and joy that will be cherished forever.
Sharon was preceded in death by her devoted parents, Willie and Betty Beamon, and her beloved brother Jeffrey Beamon. Though their earthly presence is gone, she is now reunited with them in eternal peace.
She is survived by her loving brother, David Beamon and his wife Stacey, and her cherished niece Benae Beamon, who will forever carry her light forward.
Sharon was beautiful inside and out — a genuine soul who uplifted others with her kindness and her radiant smile. She held deep pride in being a dedicated member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., embracing a lifelong commitment to sisterhood, service, and scholarship.
Her commitment to education was remarkable. Sharon earned her bachelor’s degree from North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, NC, followed by her master’s degree from Murray State University in Kentucky. She later completed her Culinary Arts degree from Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte, NC, fulfilling her passion for the culinary arts.
Sharon’s talents in the kitchen were unmatched. She was a gifted baker whose dishes brought comfort and joy to all who tasted them. Her famous sweet potato pie and her much-loved sugar-free cookies were favorites among family and friends, made with the same love and care she poured into every part of her life.
Above all, it is Sharon’s unforgettable smile — warm, bright, and full of love — that will remain in the hearts of those who knew her. Her presence was a blessing, and her memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration.
A SILENT TEAR
Just close your eyes and you will see
All the memories that you have of me
Just sit and relax and you will find
I'm really still there inside your mind
Don't cry for me now, I'm gone
For I am in the land of song
There is no pain, there is no fear
So dry away that silent tear
Don't think of me in the dark and cold
For here I am, no longer old
I'm in that place that's filled with love
Known to you all, as "up above"
