Born January 19, 1941, to the late Howard and Luvenia Brannon Love. Graduating from Lincoln High School, Bessemer City, NC in 1958 and Livingston College, Salisbury, NC in 1962 studying Childhood Education. Becoming a teacher followed by many years in manufacturing and retail. Through all this, her joy and passion were animals; working at a local Veterinarian Clinic and owning a variety of pets such as dogs, cats, snakes, hamsters, ducks and guinea pigs to name a few.
Preceded in death by her husband, David Alvin Armstrong Sr., her parents Howard and Luvenia Brannon Love, and brothers Howard, Charles, and Billy Love.
Survived by her daughter, Sandra Watson of the home, son David Alvin Armstrong Jr. (Melody) of Suffolk, VA, son Michael Armstrong (Sonya) of Gastonia, NC, son Neil Armstrong (Amanda) of San Antonio, TX, three granddaughters, Lynette Watson and Monica Watson both of Gastonia, NC, Avana Armstrong of San Antonio, TX, five grandsons, Rozzell Watson of the home, Trever Armstrong of Fredericksburg, VA, Michael “MJ” Armstrong Jr. (Kella-Fiancée) of Concord, NC, Makale Armstrong of Gastonia, and Sebastian Armstrong of San Antonio, TX.
A visitation will be held from 11:30 am until 12:00 pm on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park with a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 12:00 pm.
