Terry Franklin Sharpe

Terry Franklin Sharpe, 69, of Dallas passed away peacefully on Tuesday September 26, 2023 in Lincolnton at Atrium Hospital. Terry was a Godly man, with a loving heart, who would do anything for anybody. Terry loved his coffee and he always had a cup in the morning before anything else. Terry enjoyed fishing and racing. He liked NASCAR and Dirt Track racing. His family said that he enjoyed anything with wheels and a track. Terry touched many lives. His passing leaves a big hole for many.

Terry was born December 13, 1953 in Charlotte, NC. His parents, Beatrice (Linder) Sharpe and Marshall Franklin Shape proceed Terry in death. His twin brother, Berry Sharpe, also preceded Terry in death.

Terry leaves behind his three sons, Joshua Allen Sharpe, Timothy Michael Sharpe and his wife, Kattie Rush, Hunter Chase Scovel and his girlfriend Leah Broome. He leaves behind five siblings, Becky Plummer and her husband Frankie, Vernon Sharpe and his wife Tammy, Barbara Morrel and her husband Timmy, Mike Rogers and Pauline Rogers. Terry has five grandchildren, Allysia Sharpe, Braxton Sharpe, Johnathan Michael Sharpe and Abigail Grace Rush. He has a pseudo-grandchild, Aaron Hensley that he was very close to. He also leaves behind his girlfriend of three years, Mary Jackson. In addition, he leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members.

A service and gathering of family and friends will be this Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Carothers Funeral Home, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia, NC. Reverend Eddie Wells of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in Charlotte, will officiate. Family and friends who have stories of Terry’s life are encouraged to share their memories at the service. The family will gather informally after the service for fellowship, mutual support and sharing their love for Terry.
