Albert Salinas, loving husband and father, passed away on Saturday, January 22nd, 2022 in Jarrell, Texas at the age of 70. His memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 11:30 AM at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78628, with Pastor Robert Stephens officiating. The family will welcome friends and family for a visitation from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM immediately before the memorial service.
Albert Lucio Salinas was born on August 25th, 1951, in McAllen, Texas to parents, Miguel Angel and Aurora Salinas. He attended McAllen High School where he joined ROTC and met the love of his life and future wife, Romie Perez. After high school, he joined the United States Air Force where he proudly served for 4 years. After his service, he proposed to Romie, and they were married on August 20, 1976. They moved to Beeville, Texas when he started working for the family company, Texas Trucking Company, and they became parents to their only daughter, Jessica Nicole, in 1982.
After working his way up and becoming a foreman with the company, he moved his family to Austin, Texas in 1986. He was passionate about his faith and his family, and he was a member of Crestview Baptist Church in Georgetown, Texas. He was always involved in his daughter’s life attending all her sports activities and coaching some of her teams as well. In his final months, he found a new sense of excitement when his only granddaughter, Rory Isabella, was born on October 15th, 2021.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents, Miguel and Aurora Salinas; and his brothers, Armando, Amador, and Alex.
Albert is survived by his wife, Romie, of Jarrell, Texas; his daughter, Jessica (Ty) of Austin,Texas; and his granddaughter, Rory Isabella Griffin.
