During my later teen years (1970?), I traveled from Austin to the Presidio military base in San Francisco to visit aunt Toni & uncle Dan. Aunt Toni took me sightseeing to Chinatown, Fisherman's Wharf, and Alcatraz. Dear aunt Toni probably got a lot more exercise that day than she was used to. Somewhere I have a photo of a 40-something aunt Toni trudging up the sidewalk back to her home on the base. I can still recall uncle Dan relaxing in his easy chair smiling and cuddling a very young Darlene. Years later I received a greeting card from them to congratulate me on the purchase of my first house. Although aunt Toni and uncle Dan have now passed, the memory of them lives on in the hearts and minds of those that loved them.

I am so glad I met your mom! What a treasure. She was loving, gracious and kind. Much love to all of you.

Words cannot express how I felt for your mother and how I feel for your Dad. They were so much a part of my childhood. When Y'all were stationed at Fort Hood, Your mom came to see me sing " Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head" when I was in the first grade. I can still see her sitting there, next to my mother. I'm sure my singing was torturous, but she endured it and told me afterwards how great it was. How sweet of my Aunt Toni!! I will be thinking and prayer for you and the whole family.

Mine and Jess's Thoughts and most especially prayers are with you and your family today. I was blessed by your togetherness in Tia Toni's last days. I remember doing the same thing with my grandmother, I will never forget that time.

Sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I was glad to hear she was able to pass on while surrounded by her family. May God bless you and your family.

I hope this Thanksgiving prompts many happy memories of your mom. The funeral service was wonderful, and it captured her tender spirit and her love for so many.

I'm so sorry to hear about Tia Tony's passing this week. Praying for comfort for you and the family and rejoicing in the fact that she is at peace in her new body in heaven.

Having Aunt Toni and Uncle Dan joining us at the May birthdays bash at Julie Garcia's house with all the Garcia fam over. I enjoyed seeing everyone and enjoying the music. We will miss her allot but will have her in our hearts.

Tia Toni was the first member of the extended family I ever met. So bright and joyful. Its been a delight being a "niece" love love love

Her love of Music, we both shared that. She loved the "oldies but Goodies"!

Toni was a lovable, full of life friend and sister in law and I adore her.

In my early years in my photography business, Dan and Toni allowed me to use a beautiful corner area of their front yard to photograph some of my clients. They were such wonderful neighbors. Many PHS and Middle school cheerleaders still comment on their pictures taken in the yard with the ivy tree. =)

I loved the way you made me feel welcomed as soon as I joined the family. You were always so happy to see me and my children. You absolutely adored Carlos. I enjoyed our many conversations in spanish. I felt there was a connection you didnt have with other people from the family. I loved how you always asked how my mother was doing. You always thought of everyone else. I love you so much grandma, I will forever remember you.
