

Betty Holder, age 92, of Kerrville, Texas, formerly of Johnson City, Texas, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2011. She was born on April 11, 1919 in Rogers, Texas to parents M.C. Riddle and Loucile (Broach) Riddle. Betty married Leonard William Holder on February 9, 1935 in the backseat of a car on a cold rainy day.
Betty was a very classy, well dressed woman who loved to watch people. She had a sharp sense of humor and loved being around her family. Betty enjoyed cooking and loved eating hamburgers and seafood. She was a great seamstress who also enjoyed crocheting until the end. If you had the pleasure of going to Betty’s house, she always had on country music playing. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard William Holder, son Jerry Glenn Holder and daughter-in-law Joan Holder.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Linda Uballe and husband Don of Johnson City, Texas; sons, Nick Holder and wife Lynn of Houston, Texas and James Holder of Denver, Colorado; nine grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and several great great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 12:00 P.M to 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 30, 2011 at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas with her service following the visitation at 2:00 P.M. with Chaplain Dean Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow at Jonah Cemetery in Jonah, Texas.
