Beverly H Johnson

Beverly Houghtaylen Johnson died on September 16, 2018 in Round Rock, Texas. Daughter of the late Bernice and Sherrill Houghtaylen, she was born in Binghamton, New York on October 22, 1931. She graduated from Binghamton Central High School with Honors in 1950. She was employed by several banks and attorneys before working for IBM and the University of Alabama in Huntsville. She retired from IBM in Round Rock, Texas in 1993. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Round Rock for 41 years and served in a variety of roles.She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Jack Johnson and their children Jackie Jackson of Pike Road, Alabama; Karen Hierholzer and husband Buddy of Pflugerville, Texas; Jay Johnson and wife JB of Round Rock, Texas; and Donna Hensley and husband Randy of Leander, Texas. She is also survived by grandchildren Katie, Dave, Rachel, Cole, Marcus, BJ and Sarah and seven great-grandchildren.Visitation will begin at 10 am at First Baptist Church of Round Rock, 306 Round Rock Ave., Round Rock, TX, on Saturday, September 22, 2018, with the funeral services immediately following at 11 am. Burial will be in Birchardville, Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Legacy Fund, c/o First Baptist Church, 306 Round Rock Avenue, Round Rock, 78664.
