Charles Bostock

Charles O. “Chuck” Bostock passed away Monday, July 16, 2007, in Georgetown, Texas. He was born November 20, 1928, in Bentonsport, Iowa to William O. and Helen M. (Snyder) Bostock. He was married to Darlene F. Scanlan on February 29, 1952. They moved to Texas in 1973 where he was administrator of the Crestview Nursing Home in Bryan, Texas. In 1979 they moved to Georgetown where he was administrator of The Wesleyan Homes, Inc. from which he retired in 1989. His Soul Mate, Darlene passed away in 1985. Darlene was a tireless volunteer at Wesleyan Homes Inc. and founded many charitable activities that are still in operation today. He was preceded in death by Darlene Bostock (wife), Mary Ida Pilkington (sister), Gerald and Keith Bostock (cousins), Craig T. Calhoun (son) and 2 Great Grand Children. He survived in death by Betty Radel (sister), Mike Bostock, Mike, Rick, Clay and Bob Calhoun (sons), 13 Grand Children, and 12 Great Grand Children. Visitation was Wed. July 18, 2007 6:00pm – 8:00pm at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services were held Thursday, July 19, 2007 10:00 am at First United Methodist Church, Georgetown, TX. Interment at Vernon Cemetery in Bentonsport, Iowa. Local services entrusted to The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, Georgetown, TX.
