Charles L. Hardy

 He is survived by wife of more than 50 years Hildburg Runken Hardy, daughters Ellen Lucille MacAlester husband Mark, Jeanne Ann Micale and husband Carlo, and Tina Maureen Lederfine and husband Jeff.  Grandchildren, Daniel Hamilton MacAlester, Jacob Ryan Lederfine and wife Madison, Steven Sean MacAlester, Nicholas Charles Lederfine, Brandon Nicholas Micale, Thomas Lawrence MacAlester, Joshua Anthony Lederfine, Cameron Timothy Micale, Grace Marie Lederfine. One great- granddaughter Natalie Simone Lederfine.

He served his country in the Navy from 1952-1960. He earned Bachelors of Science degree at Hunter College in NYC in 1976. During his time in NYC he volunteered with a local ambulance corp. Charles moved to California with his wife and daughters in 1977. He worked as an accountant. Upon arrival in California he served with the Catholic Church as a Deacon as well as a Eucharistic Minister. Charles was a Knights of Columbus serving in the office of Navigator and Grand Master.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Helen May Crotty, his mother Alma and father Nicholas, his brothers Nicholas, Thomas, Billy, and Johnny Joe as well as his sister Virginia and nephew Keith Anderson.

Charles was primarily surrounded by females, during his life time, he was a kind and gentle man who assisted anyone he was able to. Even towards the end, as his memory faded~ that sense of kindness never did.

We will miss him greatly.
