

David Roger Gray, 61, of Georgetown, Texas passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2008. A memorial service celebrating David’s life will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 2:00 PM in David’s garden at 317 Rancho Bueno Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78628. David was born on January 3, 1947 in Fort Worth, Texas to the Roger Charles and Betsy Hazard Gray. He is also preceded in death by his son, Cody Wayne Gray. David married Lynda Kay Bryson on September 1, 1967 in Harlingen, Texas. The Gray’s lived and worked in Harlingen until 1988 when they moved to Georgetown. He was a plumber by trade, but a creative craftsman in many areas. He was a Motorola employee fourteen years. David was a member of Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local 286 in Austin and a former member of the Harlingen Local. He also co-owned Kay’s Kloset in Georgetown. David leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 40 years, Lynda Kay Gray of Georgetown; son, Bryon David Gray and wife Danna of Jarrell; sister, Carol Anne Gray; brothers, Gary Gray and Kelly Gray; step-mother, Jennie Gray; grandchildren, Tommy Lockhart, Justin Lockhart, and Rachael Lockhart; great grandchild, Bailey Lockhart; four very special cousins and their families; along with other loving family members and friends. David will be remembered as a hardworking but private individual who loved his home in the woods and his family. Most of his last days were spent happily working his tractor, tending his animals and birds, using his crafts in creative expression, or playing his accordion. He was a loving and supportive husband and father. David came to love the Lord’s Prayer as he accepted Jesus as his personal savior and the family requests you to whisper the prayer in remembrance to David. Memorial donations in David’s name may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society, or the charity of choice.
