Lee was born to Edward and Johnice Day in 1957 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He met the love of his life, Sandy Bright in 1973 and they married in 1976. They welcomed daughters Sarah in 1984 and Jennifer in 1987.
Lee was the protector of his family, a great teacher to his grandchildren, and a witty and thoughtful friend. He had many passions, including woodworking, exploring the outdoors, reading and appreciating history, but writing songs for his loved ones and performing for his church truly brought him happiness.
Despite his 6’4’’ frame, he was really a teddy bear at heart and his bright smile will be lovingly remembered by his dad Edward and his wife Grace, his sisters Debra and Kate, brother John, wife Sandy, his 2 daughters, Sarah and Jennifer, and his grandchildren, Gwyneth, Judah, Imogene, Gregory, Victoria, Brendan, Agatha, Ignatius and Jean-Luc who is in heaven.
A visitation with light refreshments is planned for Thursday, September 15th from 4-8pm. A memorial service will be held at 11am on Friday, September 16th, 2022. Both will be held at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas.
Lee was passionate about not seeing children go hungry. His family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in memoriam to Iberoamerican Ministries, an organization supporting children in Peru, at bit.ly/3Dvey4W.
