

She married Humberto O. Molina Jr. in May 1973, whose union was blessed with a son, Jose (Jody) Enrique Z. Molina of Brownwood, Texas. She is survived by her sisters Susan Garcia Newton and Joan Ann Zapata both of Pasadena, Texas.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, her eldest sister, Carolina Cantu, and her only brother, Antonio G. Zapata Jr.
Elizabeth resided in Georgetown, Texas and attended Victoria College, the University of Texas at Austin and earned a bachelor’s degree from Our Lady of the Lake University. She had a competitive and fearless spirit and loved to play cards, particularly Texas Hold ’EM. She participated in many local club tournaments, often winning a seat to the final table.
Elizabeth loved Jane Austen period films and art house cinemas, art in its many expressions, exploring new places and enjoying meals with friends. She loved her pet, Buddy the Cat. Her dearest love was raising her son, Jody, whom she imbued with strength of character, resiliency, tough love, and principles to live by. Her home is filled with mementos of a Mom’s pride and joy in her son.
A Memorial Service will be held at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, TX 78628, US, on March 25, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
