Eva Regino was born April 21, 1940 in Round Rock, Texas, the daughter of Melecia and Basilia (Canizales) Regino. After fighting a long battle with cancer, she peacefully passed away at home with her loved ones on July 21, 2021 in Round Rock, Texas at the age of 81 years.
Eva grew up in Round Rock with her 5 siblings. She loved playing cards with her dad as a child and going to sock hops as a teenager. Eva later married Louis Domingues Sr. in 1963. She worked as a cook in the Hutto School District and then as the cafeteria manager in the Pflugerville School District, for a total of over 30 years during her career. She was also an in-home Care Provider during this time and up to the last couple of years.
She had a passion for antiquing and loved going to garage sales. She enjoyed listening to all genres of music and watching Westerns (Clint Eastwood was a favorite). She absolutely loved playing lotto scratch-off tickets and watching her Novella’s (Spanish Soap Operas). She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed baking and cooking for others and will be remembered for her signature pecan pies and banana nut bread. She loved going on road trips to San Antonio to the fiesta’s, Port A to enjoy the beach and just hanging out on the patio grilling with family while listening to Eddie Money, Fats Domino, and Sunny Ozuna.
She was raised of Catholic faith all her life, following the word of God and serving faithfully even in her final days. She always had a very caring and selfless heart, putting others' needs before her own.
Eva is preceded in death by her parents, Melecia and Basilia Regino; brother, John Regino; and sister, Mary Louise Singleton.
She is survived by her sisters, Carmen Onder of Ogdensburg, New Jersey and Lola Salazar of Round Rock, Texas; brother, Raymond Regino of Round Rock, Texas; children, Delia Murphy and Louis Dominguez both of Round Rock, Texas; son-in-law, Mark Murphy of Round Rock, Texas; grandchildren, Breanna Dominguez of Grain Valley, Missouri, Zachary Laliberty of Los Angeles, California, Brandi Galindo of San Antonio, Texas and Bobby Guzman of Encinitas, California; and great-grandson, Luca Simmermon of Grain Valley, Missouri. She also loved and cherished her nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Eva's Life will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas.
