Guadalupe Martinez, Jr., 57, passed away September 1, 2014 in Georgetown, Texas. His mother Santos and the rest of the Martinez family—Frank, Lee, Martin, Isaiah, Rosa, Esequiel and Genie as well as numerous nieces and nephews—survive him.
Always a diligent worker despite his disabilities, Junior would be found in his favorite flannel shirts with a cap on his head, working with his hands. His love for The Beatles was only outdone by his big heart for children, family and friends. While he spoke little and was hard of hearing, he was always understood by the people closest to him.
A Sagittarius, born December 11, 1956, Junior now rests with his father in the town he loved and grew up in, Georgetown.
A memorial service will be held for family and friends Friday, September 5 at 6 p.m. at the San Gabriel Apartments Clubhouse, 1100 Leander Road, Georgetown, Texas. Memorial contributions may be made at the memorial service.
To quote The Beatles, “For though they may be parted, there is still a chance that they will see, there will be an answer, let it be.”
Arrangements under the direction of Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, Georgetown, TX.
