Hattie was born April 10, 1933 to Samuel Brooks Hardee and Maudie Ella Covington Hardee in Newark, Texas. Hattie was an active member of the Church of Christ. Hattie graduated from Slidell High School in 1951, where she was an avid basketball player. That same year she also met and married Albert D. Fulton and was his life long bride of 64 years.
Hattie was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many.
Hattie was a Cub Scout leader in Copperas Cove, Texas during the 1960's and a Girl Scout leader in Florence, Texas during the 1970's. She was a member of the Florence riding and roping Club. She loved bluegrass music and festivals and traveled to many with her twin sister Willie. She loved to work outside in her garden or in her kitchen canning. She loved to cook for many and when she did she would cook enough to feed an army. No one ever left hungry. She truly enjoyed doing whatever she could to take care of others.
Anyone who knew Hattie, would most likely have a funny "Hattie Story"! She certainly was a character!
