Isabel Martha (Jenke) Jenkins

Isabel Martha (Jenke) Jenkins Isabel Jenkins, 94, of Houston, joined her Savior on April 16. 2011 in Georgetown. Isabel received the gift of life on August 24, 1916 in the small Lee County town of Fedor, TX. She was the youngest child of Henry Jenke and Pauline Exner. She was baptized on September 10, 1916 at Trinity Lutheran in Fedor and confirmed on April 13, 1930 at Immanuel Lutheran in Giddings. Isabel was blessed to share her earthly journey with a wonderful Pastor and church family at Messiah Lutheran in Houston along with special neighbors and friends. She retired from Bemis Bag Company after 35 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one sister and two brothers. Isabel believed “We live by faith, not by sight” 2 Corinthians 5:7. If you wish to remember me, do it with a kind word or deed to someone who needs it. Interment will be at Woodlawn Garden of Memories in Houston with Pastor Richard L. Schuller officiating. The family would like to extend special thanks and gratitude to Pastor Schuller and members of Messiah Lutheran Church along with neighbors Larry and Marti Huseman and their staff for their gift of love and compassion for our dear Isabel.
