

James Earl Robinson passed away September 16th, 2015 peacefully in his sleep, after a brave and lengthy battle. He was born on August 15th, 1934 in Pittsburg, KS and later married his sweetheart, Violet June McNeely after a blind date. His career with the railroad began as an apprentice carman with the Kansas City Southern Railway. His desire, drive, and intellectual ability led to many advancements along the way, taking him and his family from Kansas to Oklahoma and Texas. Promotions led to his proud achievement of becoming President of Georgetown Railroad. After retirement from the railroad, he started a successful antique clock repair business and he enjoyed the many friendly visits from his customers. He loved family and was a teacher and nurtured each of his five children. He is now with God and his sweetheart of 63 years. He is survived by his brother Bob Robinson and his sister Sharon Robinson. Five surviving children include: Steve Robinson, Vivian Spears, Valerie Robinson, Vickie Robinson, and Robert Robinson
