I worked with Jeff for many years at Castle Olds - Honda in Morton Grove.  He was a good friend and great co-worker.  We shared the love of Nascar Racing and went to a race in Michigan with the wives.  I am truly sorry to hear of his passing and offer our condolences to Cathy and family.

I miss you so much, pop. I’m the luckiest to have had you as my Dad. I miss you more than you’ll ever know. I’m forever grateful to all the lessons you have taught me and will carry those with me forever. I would give anything to give you a big hug right now and hear your contagious laugh. I’m sorry to hear about  Jeff. I’ve known him since first grade. We grew up in Uptown, Chicago. Some of my best memories of him were when we played sandlot baseball, riding bikes, and hanging out on our front stoops. We recently reconnected via our grade school FB.Here is a picture of us from our 8th grade graduation party.

Nothing but happy memories with Jeff. I remember when I first met him and I believe it was at Champions, but what I remembered most was his laugh, that laugh that came from deep inside of him! Also, when I bought my motorcycle and the very same day I stopped by his house and let him take it for a test ride, he was so honored and thrilled! But what really hits home is when he was so happy and proud when he built his wood staircase leading from his house to the backyard. He knew the craftsman I was that I would appreciate his work! He was absolutely correct I was very proud of him! Jeff I love you and you will be missed! Until we meet again……

I am so sorry Cathy but I' m glad to of known Mr. Cathy. I was always my way of greeting him and he laughed every time. If you need to talk which you have plenty of friends just let me know I have big shoulders.

One of my favorite memories of my dad was when he would read us 3 girls The Night Before Christmas. It was a special moment we would have with him before bed on Christmas Eve. I was able to record this a few months ago, unsure of whether or not we would have another Christmas with him. Sadly, he is gone too soon, but we have this recording to treasure for Christmases to come. Merry Christmas in heaven, Dad.  I love you. I’m so thankful my dad was able to meet Audrey in the hospital two hours after she was born. This day was so special to me, and I know it was so special to him. 

Many, many great times with our good friend Jeff and Cathy! From their first secret date to the time they left Arlington Heights we have shared many great times and family milestones.  Jeff was always ready to lend a hand with a car problem or home improvement project. He could tell a joke like no one else! And he knew all the best places to eat! I could go on and on about all the fun times we shared just hanging out. He cherished his family and enjoyed his friends.  He was taken too soon and will be sorely missed. May he Rest In Peace.

Jeff and I met working at a gas station in the 80’s. Never a dull moment! Good friends are hard to come by. I’m glad that he was surrounded by people who loved him. We miss you already.

Jeff and Cathy's wedding. I was best man. His mother in-law got mad at me because I wrote Help me on the bottom of his shoes. He laughed 

First off, my condolence and prayers are with Jeff's family and friends. Grieving is a journey....everyone's journey is different....requires prayers. So I will be praying.
The first time I met Jeff was the first time I was in Chicago, first time meeting Kristin's parents, and my first Chicago wedding (Brian and Heather). Jeff was so welcoming, inclusive, and so funny. He kept me laughing that's for sure with his jokes and his witty self.
Fast forward to Brandon and Theresa's wedding. During the reception everyone was dancing and having a good time. Jeff came up to me and we talked and laughed. I put my arm around his shoulder and said "Let me buy you a drink." (Mind you it was an opened bar). He laughed out loud and said "I already paid for it!" I kept aggravating him through the night insisting I buy him a drink. He would always giggle and say "I already paid for it!" After their wedding that was "our" little inside joke.
So Jeff if I get where you are....let me buy you a drink.

I want to extend my condolences to all family members and friends. I’m so sorry for your loss. 

Jeff was one of a kind- in the best way! His stories and sense of humor were unmatched. Living with a wife and 3 daughters was not for the weary.  Not to mention Jeff lived blocks away from his in-laws, which made for great comedic material for holiday get togethers. He was honest and witty.  Jeff made some of the best Italian sausages. I’ll forever be grateful for Uncle Jeff and our memories.

When I think of my uncle I remember a man who worked hard every day of his life. A man who loved and was so proud of his family. A man who could fix anything and saw utility in items that others didn’t care to see. A man who showed you how much he cared by giving of himself. A man who appreciated a succinct weekly mass. A man who loved the Chicago Bears even when they didn’t deserve it. A man who always had a joke ready that could put a smile on your face. 

I will miss our conversations, I will miss being able to share a good meal, and I will always cherish the special bond we had. 




To my cousin my friend and like brother. You will sorely be missed by me and others. You could repair and fix almost anything. I will missed are Saturday breakfast we had every Saturday morning. The man took you way to early from us. When you are up there maybe he likes auto racing better yet,one more thing you can try and fix is, get the big man to be a Bear fan and take care of those greenbay packers.  Love you and miss you.
