Joe N. Pate went to rest with his Lord Sunday morning. He is survived by his wife, Lillie Rossow Pate; son, Joe Paul Pate and fiancée Kay Morse; grandchildren, Michelle and Christopher Pate, Gene Rossow and Lisa Johnson; and great grandchildren, Drake, Aliya, Kaylinn and Krysten.
A proud veteran of the United States Army, he enlisted December 19, 1934 and served in World War II in Europe from 1944 – 1945 and in Korea 1951 – 1953. Retired in 1955 from the military with 21 years of service to his country; Mr. Pate went on to become a barber until he retired in 1975, but kept his chair and continued to give haircuts to family and friends.
The family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, May17, 2012 at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, May 18, 2012 in the chapel of Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow in the afternoon at 2:00 P.M. at Fairview Cemetery in Hubbard, Texas.
