John Peter Davis

John Peter Davis, 88, born March 25, 1925, son of Samuel Davis and Concepcion Reyes-Herrera Davis, passed on, April 24, 2013 in Georgetown, TX. John, a Native American Crow Indian from Crow Agency, Montana, served his country in WWII and was honorably discharged in1944. John later served as Bureau of Indian Affairs Officer in Pryor, Mt for many years before retiring to Georgetown, TX. John was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Margaret DeHoyos. He is survived by his loving and caring wife of over 19 years, Maria del Rosario Davis; his brother, Samuel and wife Carmen; two sons, John and wife Kathy, and Robert and wife Lisa; three daughters, Pearl Ann Coombs and husband Timothy, Shelly Buckner and husband Tom, Sharol Wilson and husband Brian. Also surviving John are his grandchildren, Aaron Fleming, Rita Smith, Sarah Godby, Stephanie Miller, Joshua and Jonathan Davis, Marcus & Tyler McClain; Nehemiah, Nicolas, Nathan & Naomi Davis; Emily and Benjamin Boggiano; as well as 14 great-grandchildren and other extended family and friends. Visitation will be held at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel in Georgetown from 3-5pm on Wednesday, May 1, 2013.
