

Born July 31, 1927 in Nashville, Tennessee, he was the youngest of five children of parents Bess and Henry Benagh. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korea War. Joseph married Phyllis Conrad on April 10, 1954. He retired from State Farm Insurance Company and lived in Sun City until his death.
He is survived by his brother, Ret. Col. Thomas Benagh; his two daughters, Susan and Elizabeth; grandchildren, Andy and wife Kelli, Layla and husband Kory, Robert and wife Ciera and Petty Officer 2nd Class Anthony M. Haynes; and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate Joseph’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Grace Episcopal Church in Georgetown, Texas with Reverend Janice Jones officiating.
The family wished to thank Scott and White Hospice, especially Lisa, Olga, Nancy, Vanessa and Stacy for their superb service.
