Joyce Vera Nicoson

Joyce Nicoson, born on November 19, 1943, lived a life filled with love, compassion, and grace. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend, whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. At just 16, she married Nick Nicoson, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage until his passing in November 2016.

Joyce is survived by her sister Janet, her brother Joe, and her three children: son Buddy and his wife Tammy, daughter Wendy and her husband William, and son LeeRoy and his wife Betsy. She also cherished her grandchildren, who brought her immense joy.

Joyce had a remarkable passion for cooking, knitting, quilting, and gardening. Though only 5 feet tall, she had a heart larger than life and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Her generous spirit and boundless love will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A funeral service for Joyce will be held Friday, September 13, 2024 at 9:00 AM at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78628, followed by a light reception until 11:00 AM. Joyce will be laid to rest at IOOF Cemetery, 1117 E 7th Street, Georgetown, Texas 78626 at 11:30 AM.
