Maria De Los Angeles De La Cruz Garcia, 52, of Round Rock, TX formerly of Midland, TX left this earth to be with our King and Savior, Jesus Christ on December 30, 2009 at 1:53 p.m. to begin her new life in Heaven’s glory. Funeral services will held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 4, 2009 at Stonegate Fellowship Church, 6000 W. Wadley in Midland, TX. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Entombment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Mary was born December 9, 1957 to Jose De La Cruz and Tomacita Mancha De La Cruz in Brownsville, TX. She graduated high school in Hereford, TX in 1976 and married Paul P. Garcia, Jr. on August 12, 1978. She lived to please her God of the bible and dedicated her life to serving her family’s needs. The Word of God was the lamp to her feet and the guide to her path. Her presence in this world touched many people with a contagious smile and sincere kindness. She served those around her with compassion, while inspiring many. Her love for children, co-workers, friends, and family is eternal and unforgettable. Mary leaves to cherish her memory a husband, Paul Perez Garcia, Jr.; children, Brianna Patricia. Garcia, Lya Rebecca Lester, Issac Paul Garcia, and Levi Jose Garcia; grandchildren, Patrick Drake Paul Garcia, Kora Phoenix Hunt, Halynn Nicole Garcia, and Olivia Korynn Garcia; mother, Tomacita Cortez; step father, Santos Cortez; sisters, Lucinda De La Cruz, Carmen Salazar, Lydia Vallejo, Gloria Escamilla, Rebecca Silva, Diana Galindo; brother, Jose De La Cruz step-sisters, Leticia Ramirez and Monica Cortez; step-brothers, Albert and Victor Cortez.
