Marvin Donnell Bishop was born in Williamson County, Texas on May 15, 1914 and died in Round Rock, Texas on January 9, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife; Margaret Salyer Bishop, his brother; Benton Bishop and his sister Ruth Bishop Jennings.
He was a graduate of Southwestern University in 1936 where he earned an engineering degree and was a four year letterman on the football team. His career as an engineer took him to several states in the U.S. as well as Mexico, Colombia and Aruba. He retired in 1977 and returned to Georgetown.
A visitation will be held Monday, January 12, 2015 from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 2:00p.m. at Berry's Creek Cemetery in Georgetown.
