

Meg E. Johnson, of Georgetown, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2015. Meg was born July 14, 1951 in Westfield, Massachusetts to James and Barbara Mac Arthur. Her early years were spent in Massachusetts and Connecticut, relocating with her parents to North Dakota as a teenager. She graduated from Valley City High School in Valley City, North Dakota. On September 25, 1971, she married David Johnson, with whom she shared her life for more than 43 years. She received her nursing degree from Hennepin Technical College in Minnesota and cared for others as a registered nurse, foster parent and guardian ad litem for many years. She also was active in Sun City governance as a member of the Emergency Management Committee, she also served on their medical subcommittee. In her spare time, she enjoyed antiquing, gallivanting around the country, golf carting with the grand kids, relaxing in jammies, redesigning houses and singing in the church choir, but family was always at the top of her list. Meg is preceded in death by her parents. She leaves behind to cherish her memory: her husband, David; son, David Johnson and partner Deb; daughter, Liz Hunter and husband Thom; grandchildren: Matthew Johnson, Sydney Hunter and Harley Hunter; brother, Jim MacArthur and wife Mary; niece, Molly MacArthur; nephews, Matt and Nick MacArthur and other loving family and friends. Services will be private.
