Melynda was born in Georgetown, Texas to Elizabeth Stidham and Gary Raum. After graduation from Georgetown High School, she entered into the title industry where she went to work at Alamo Title. She was loved and respected for many years. More important than her professional life, was the difference she made and impact she had on all. She was known as by many as “Momma Mel” and never closed her door on any child or animal.
She is survived by her two children, Cody Lane Lattimore and Cayla Jo Lattimore; grandson, Bowen Levlon; husband, Mike Griffin; her mother, Elizabeth Ann Stidham; her father and step-mother, Gary and Bobbie Raum; her sister, Cindy and husband Pancho Flores; her stepchildren, Ryan Griffin and Courtney Griffin; and all of her nieces, nephews, extended family, and countless people that call her “Mamma Mel”. She is also survived by her beloved companion, Tonka Griffin.
The family wishes to express special thanks to Baylor Medical Transplant Hospital in Dallas, Georgetown Hospital ER team, I.C.U. staff and doctors, especially Nurse Dona, who without her compassion and love, we would not have been able to make it through this.
