Oleta Linebarger

Oleta Whitehead Linebarger, of Leander, Texas, was born to Tom Whitehead and Avis May Bell Carlile Whitehead on September 22, 1921. She attended school in the Bell County, Texas Community and Georgetown, Texas before moving to Leander, Texas where she graduated in 1938. There she met and married the love of her life, J.T. Linebarger. They married on May 3, 1941.

Together J.T. and Oleta raised five children. They instilled a strong love of the Lord and made Christ the center of their home. Oleta and J.T. were active members of New Hope Baptist Church in Cedar Park, Texas.

Oleta was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, oldest daughter Joyce Ann, brother Carlile Whitehead and sisters Ina Anderson, Avis Frierson and Eunice Speights.

She is survived by her son, Jerry Don Linebarger and wife Sherry of Leander, Texas; daughters, May Bell Clark and husband Alvie of Georgetown, Texas, Kathy Foreland and husband Rick of Nottingham, England and Susan Esparza and husband Chuck of Hutto, Texas; ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Angebelle Carwile; and brother-in-law, Pat Linebarger.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, June 8, 2012 at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas. Services will be held at New Hope Baptist Church in Cedar Park, Texas on June 9, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. with burial at Bagdad Cemetery in Leander, Texas.
