

Paul exemplified quiet strength, resilience, and devotion as a dedicated veteran and a central figure in his large and loving family. Born the fifth of twelve children to Raymond and Marie (Aube) Laberge, Paul embraced the values of hard work and loyalty throughout his life. He honorably served his country in the United States Army during two significant tours, from 1961 to 1965 and again from 1971 to 1973. A highlight of his military career was the distinct honor of guarding President John F. Kennedy while stationed at the Berlin Wall in June 1963.
On February 17, 1968, Paul married the love of his life, Diane Harris. Together, they built a beautiful life and a family of four children, with Paul always putting the needs of his loved ones and community first.
Paul’s legacy shines brightly through his devoted wife, Diane, and their children: Paul (wife Stacy), Walter (wife Chris), Lisa (husband Steve), and Raymond (wife Sarah) He was a proud grandfather to Samantha, Tristan, Jackson (wife Liz), Colton, Jessica (husband Cory Sr.), Trey, Kayla (husband Brandon), Shane, Blake, and Liam. He was also blessed with several great-grandchildren: Marlowe, Dallas, CJ, Rylee, Connor, and Emmalyn. Paul is survived by his siblings Jeanne, Maurice, Lucille (husband Art), Peter (wife Lori), Gerald, Amie, Mark (wife Terri), and Denis; his brother-in-law, Hilton, and sisters-in-law Judy and Donna, along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Marie, his sister, Elaine, his brothers, Louis and Albert, and his in-laws, Norm and Yvonne. Paul's kind spirit will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his country and family. Rest in peace, Paul, until we meet again.
A visitation will be held between 4:00pm and 8:00pm on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78628, with a rosary being recited at 6:00pm. A memorial mass will be held the following day on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 10:00am at Saint Helen Catholic Church, 2700 E University Avenue, Georgetown, Texas 78626.
The family requests that donations be made to the American Diabetes Foundation instead of flowers.
