

Peter Joseph McInerney, lovingly known as “Mac”, 49 of Georgetown, passed away with his family at his side on Friday, December 30, 2011. Visitation and a service celebrating Mac’s life were held on Monday, January 2, 2012 at 8:00PM at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, 393 North IH 35, Georgetown, Texas.
Mac was born August 13, 1962 in Queens, New York, to Charles Ambrose and Claire Jacobson McInerney. A military veteran, Mac was raised in the Queens area and attended Thomas Edison High School, graduating in 1978. He was an avid New York Giants and New York Yankees fan, following the two teams all his life. Mac married his soul mate, MiSon Kim on June 9, 1993. Mac and MiSon moved to the Georgetown area in 1995. He was a highly regarded Network Engineer working for Cisco Systems. Mac had a great sense of humor and was known to be a big practical joker. Mac called it like he saw it and usually called it better than most. He was admired by all those that crossed his path for his strong convictions and his seemingly endless giving nature. Mac was always willingly and ready to come to the aid of other people. Mac’s passion was his family. He cared deeply for his family and friends; he would do anything for them no matter the personal cost. Mac was an excellent “Daddy” and a beloved husband. Mac’s devotion to his circle of family and friends will be long cherished.
Mac leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 18 years, MiSon McInerney; the light of his life his devoted 14 year old daughter, Angela McInerney; his mother in kind, Bernadette Bermal; his sister, Rosemary Bermal; his mother, Claire Hodges; his sisters, Claire Court, Patricia Rolon, Kathleen Hodges; his brother, James Hodges; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving family and scores of devoted friends.
