Russell Kenneth Gilliam, Jr., 52 of Georgetown, passed away suddenly on Friday, May 4, 2012. Honoring Russell’s wishes, he will be cremated and a memorial service celebrating his life will be held at a later date. Russell was born on January 15, 1960 in San Marcos, Texas to Russell Kenneth Gilliam, Sr. and Linda Jeane Box Gilliam. Russell married his love, Tracy Roush, on June 2, 1979. As a devoted husband and caring father, his biggest joy was his family. He always fully supported his family in their endeavors, and his high standards inspired them to strive higher. Russ was a perfectionist to a fault with a stubborn nature who believed in producing a quality product. His dedication to craft sometimes led to long, tiresome work habits. His company, TrustyCo Signs, benefited from this dedication and was sure to produce a product of quality and caring. He had an incredible wit and inexhaustible humor. He was a caring individual who would take time to visit for hours with friends, family and others, with discussions often centering around football, computers, philosophy, politics and life in general. His unwavering honesty and integrity were cornerstones of the moral and ethical principles for which he was known, and for which even those who disagreed with his views, freely gave him respect. He will be truly missed by his family and all those who knew him. Russell leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 33 years, Tracy Gilliam of Georgetown; his son, Christopher Gilliam and partner Megan of Denton; his mother Jeane Box Hutson Mlsna of Austin; father Ray Hutson of Denver; brothers, Matthew Gilliam, John Hutson, Joshua Gilliam and wife Heather, John Gilliam, and David Hutson and wife Vickie; as well as numerous family and friends spread across Texas, Colorado, Arkansas, Missouri, California, and Tennessee.
