Simon Hurtado was born January 8, 1985 in Georgetown, Texas, the son of Ray, Sr. and Leonor Galvan Hurtado. He passed from this life August 9, 2021 in Georgetown at the age of 36. Simon was a lifetime resident of Georgetown and was a 2003 graduate of Georgetown High School. He was a Screener at The Wesleyan and was of the Catholic faith. Simon enjoyed eating at new restaurants and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Leonor Hurtado and a sister, Rosa Hurtado. He is survived by his father, Ray Hurtado, Sr. and his siblings Jesus Hurtado, Gabriel Hurtado, Ray Hurtado, Jr., and Maria Hurtado.
"Simon had a heart of love for others, never finding it in himself to say 'no' to anyone who needed his help. His was a soul that liked to please those around him, to extend a nicety in any way he could, whenever he could, to anyone he could. He had a meek, kind and gentle spirit and will be dearly missed."
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 9am at Georgetown Memorial Cemetery.
