Suzanne White

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Suzanne “Sue” Peissel White on February 17, 2025. Sue was born on April 24, 1943 to Martha Louise Seale and Antoine Joseph Peissel in Corpus Christi, Texas. As a young child, she moved to Houston, Texas. After high school, Sue graduated from H. Sophie Newcomb Memorial College in New Orleans, where she studied both music and French. She later received her Masters in French from Rice University in Houston, Texas.

She met her beloved husband, Frank G. White, Jr. of 58 years in Houston. They married on August 27, 1966. Sue was a French teacher – she had a career spanning 38 years! She spent the majority of her time teaching at St. Thomas Episcopal School and Church. After retiring in 2001, Sue and Frank moved to Lakeway where she became involved in the Lakeway Church and many Lakeway community activities.

Sue was a loving mother and grandmother and a beautiful soul who would help anyone. She was also an accomplished pianist. She lived life to the fullest and especially loved spending time with family, friends and all her beloved dogs. One of her favorite hobbies was traveling with friends and family. But overall, her pride and joy were her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Frank G. White, Jr.; her daughter, Ann-Marie Holliday, grandchildren, Jacqueline and Jessica Holliday and Ethan and Owen White; son-in-law John “Dean” Holliday; daughter-in-law Laura Romano; brother Charles Peissel and sister-in-law Rebecca Doke.

Preceded in death by: her parents; her son, Frank Gregory White, III; and her brother, A.J. Peissel, Jr.

Sue’s Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, March 17th at 2:00 p.m. at Don Mario Mexican Restaurant in Lakeway, Texas; please contact Ann Holliday at 512-470-2934 or [email protected] if you plan on attending.
