Lola was a devoted wife (married 59 years), a great mother, and a very loving Grandma. She was a strong, hardworking woman all of her life, from working in the fields to being a vendor at the flea market on weekends. Lola enjoyed playing bingo, scratch off tickets, and finding bargains at garage sales. When she was at home, she enjoyed watching “The Price is Right” and soap operas while she would be cooking or cleaning and reorganizing the house. Lola was very proud of all her children graduating school. Every morning she made sure they were all awake and dressed to attend school. She was also a sweet and social person. She had friends everywhere that she would go, meeting and greeting everyone with her loving smile. She practiced great hospitality and fed all the guests that visited her home with a home-cooked meal. Lola was a humble woman, and her greatest wants in life were peace and health. Her favorite sayings were “We are NOBODY without Jesus” and “There is no place like home.”
