

She was born August 7, 1938, the daughter of C. W. Jordan and Ruby Jordan. Charlene met her husband Billy at her parents hardware store in Houston at the age of 7. They were together almost non-stop until they married at 16. Together, they celebrated 62 years of marriage this year.
They owned Freeman Automotive for 30 plus years after moving from Houston to Georgetown in 1960. Charlene loved racing almost as much as Billy. They spent many of their married years owning a race team.
She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Nothing was more important to her than her family.
Charlene was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, daughter and friend. She will be missed dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents, C.W. and Ruby Jordan.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Freeman; one son, Darrell Freeman and wife Lisa of Georgetown; three grandchildren, James Denson and wife Liz of Bertram, Jon Austin Freeman of Georgetown, Chessie Smith of Jarrell; great grandchildren, Skyler Denson, Bryson Denson of Bertram, Devon Box and wife Zeidy of Kerrville, Cheyanne Box of Bertram, Colin Smith of Jarrell; sister, Louise Birchfield of Cummings, Georgia, brother, Calvin Jordan and wife Sylvia Jordan of Taylor; and numerous nieces and nephews which she dearly loved.
Graveside services will be held 11AM Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Cook Walden Capital Parks Cemetery with Richard Smith officiating under the direction of The Gabriels Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
