Her memorial graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park with Pastor David Mellenkamp officiating. Memorials may be given to Make A Wish Foundation. Online condolences may be left at www.geringchapel.com. Gering Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
Glynette was born on February 27, 1941 in Kimball, Nebraska to Charles I and Rena (Olsen) Anderson. She attended her early education in Albin, Wyoming, graduating from Banner County High School in 1959 as Salutatorian. She attended Graceland College in Iowa. She was a member of the Sigma Alpha Lota (Philanthropic Sorority) and the PEP club.
She was united in marriage to William “Dick” Richard Patton on November 27, 1960 in Gering, Nebraska and to this union two daughters were born Daughn and Kaleigh. They made their home in Banner County until 1990 moving to Gering.
Glynette enjoyed driving a tractor and farming with her husband, she loved this! She was an avid reader, enjoying books of any kind. She loved poodles, always had one by her side. Glynette loved all things artistic- painting, drawing, knitting, croqueting. She also loved trying out new recipes and ethnic food- was a great cook.
Her family was her passion, being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother brought her greatest joy. She cherished and loved planning holidays and gatherings. Glynette enjoyed traveling and adventure in all areas of her life. She treasured doing small favors (such as giving anonymous gifts at Christmas or anytime brought her joy). A lovely lady with a Huge Heart!
Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years William Richard “Dick” Patton; daughter and son-in-law Daughn and John Trapp; grandson Richard Trapp; daughter Kaleigh Patton and brother and sister-in-law Charles E and Linda Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
