

Jerdia (Jerre) Paulsen Warner, age 95, of Bayard, passed away on March 6, 2026, in Colorado. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Gering Memorial Chapel, followed by interment at West Lawn Cemetery. Born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, on October 25, 1930, to Paul R. Paulsen and Mahree (Pendleton) Paulsen, Jerre was raised in Gering and graduated from Gering High School in 1948. Jerre pursued higher education at the University of Colorado in Boulder and subsequently at Chadron State College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in English and a minor in library science. Her early career included teaching English and serving as librarian at Minatare High School. She later served as the librarian at Scottsbluff Junior High School until her retirement.
Jerre lived a long life filled with love. She was known for her warmth, kindness, and supportive nature, as well as for her humility and grace. Jerre placed significant importance on the relationships she cultivated throughout her life. She felt that her experiences and interpersonal connections were fundamental to achieving satisfaction and fulfillment in life.
Jerre was proceeded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Roland Warner; her parents; her son, Steve Warner; and sisters, Paula Brown and Christie Cortez.
She is survived by her son, Jack Warner (Pam) of Parker, CO; her granddaughter, Macy Warner of Loveland, CO; and her grandson, Bo Warner of Bellingham, WA.
