

Born in Glace Bay he was the son of the late William and Dolena “Dolly” MacDonald. He was a member of Knox United Church and also The Coal Town Chours.
Allan enjoyed life he loved going to Church and going out to Mira to his Bungalow every summer. He was often seen either in Tim Hortons or at Branch 3 Legion to listen to Jimmy The Cat. Allan also loved going to the Main Event for a good feed of wings with Mary.
He is survived by his niece Thelma; nephews Francis and Leonard (Kathleen); great nieces Jessica and Emma; great nephews Matthew and Kevin and his special friend Mary.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister Christine (Francis) MacKinnon.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Patten Funeral Home Glace Bay. Visitation for Allan will be held on Friday Feb. 21, 2025 at Patten Funeral Home from 10-11am, with service to follow in Patten chapel at 11am. Burial in Black Brook Cemetery at a later date.
